SUPERVISOR: Career and Technical Education Administrator

SUMMARY: Assist Career and Technical Education (CTE) Administrators in providing expertise, vision, and leadership to instructors, administrators, and community interest groups in the designated area of expertise, specifically, Innovation and Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Collaborate with the CTE Administrators to lead the continuous improvement in instructional practices of the designated content area for all students and district-wide programming/events.

- Develop, implement, oversee, and manage curriculum content development for K-8 Innovation and STEAM programs. Assist the CTE Administrators with planning, coordinating, and managing the daily operations of their assigned content area. [Daily, 20%]
- Create, restructure, and manage professional learning opportunities related to innovation training for K-12 STEAM instructors. Assist with districtwide needs for CTE Pathways, including but not limited to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)/Information Technology (IT)/Design/Multimedia, providing guidance on alignment with college and career pathways, and preparing professional development. [Daily, 25%]
- Lead, plan, implement, and support Innovation events for multiple stakeholders, including but not limited to Innovation programming, districtwide STEAM events, CTE promotional events, STEAM- and/or career-related field trips, career fairs, Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) conferences, etc. [Daily, 30%]
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with all CTE colleagues, ensuring collective and collaborative support for the CTE mission and vision. [Daily, 5%]
- Create, update, and provide access to district curricular resources. [Daily, 5%]
- Build leadership capacity to promote lasting structures that will support student achievement needs. [Daily, 5%]
- Facilitate and lead annual CTE trainings. [Annual, 5%]
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 5%]
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, or similar field.
- Three (3) years of instructional leadership or staff development experience.
- Experience in the classroom, teaching students/educational background.
- Experience developing, leading, and providing professional development opportunities.
- Experience organizing groups, coordinating activities, district-wide events, student competitions, and supervising projects with an emphasis on innovation and student achievement.
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc..
- Intermediate knowledge of innovation used to improve student achievement and its integration with curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
- Advanced knowledge of Colorado Career and Technical Education
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Advanced knowledge of infusing educational technology, 21st Century Literacy skills, and standards-based curriculum into instructional practice to enhance student achievement.

- Ability to promote and follow the Board of Education policies, District policies, and building and department procedures, protocols, and guidelines.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.
- Colorado driver's license.
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Secondary CTE Engineering & Technology authorization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, or similar field.
- Five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Colorado Career and Technical Education.
