Job description

We are seeking a part-time Pastry Cook to join our baking team in our newly renovated bakery located in the Cock 'n Bull Restaurant. 20 -24 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare baked goods in accordance with recipes and standards.
• Rotate, label, and date all items daily.
• Ensure the bakery section of the kitchen adheres to all health and safety regulations.
• Set up, maintain, and break down bakery area as needed.
• Follow portion standards.
• Demonstrate proper skill set of baking and pastry techniques.

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least 1-year high volume experience in baking, pastry or similar role, or a relevant degree from a culinary or pastry school
• The ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
• A flexible schedule, especially during the holidays
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments and multi-task.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires standing for long periods of time and walking throughout your shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely and work in high temperature conditions. Ability to move up and down stairs.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
