OSMS, a physician-owned orthopedic and rheumatology clinic in the Fox Valley, is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.

Patient Access Specialist Job Summary:
The Patient Access Specialist will answer phones to schedule appointments, activate patient files, and move patients through a pre-determined schedule of appointments at a physician's office.

Hours:

• Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 5:30pm
• No evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls for OSMS.
• Schedule appointments for a busy physician practice. With multiple locations.
• Assists patients with insurance questions when scheduling their appointments.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Personality and demeanor to deal with the public
• Basic office skills such as typing and filing.
• Good organizational skills.
• Takes initiative and has ambition

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office setting beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
