Your Role
Reporting to the SCA Manager, the Patient Advocate will help families navigate through the SCA (Single Case Agreement) process. The Patient Advocate will serve as an advocate for the families to assist in the utilization review department regarding authorizations from health insurance providers. In this role you will assist in educating potential clients on our philosophy and treatment plans and motivate qualified clients to engage in the SCA process. The primary job focus is on data entry, follow-up calls and negotiations. The successful candidate will be sales-oriented with a strong sense of empathy.
What You Will Do
· Serve as the primary point of contact for families and insurance companies throughout the single case agreement process.
· Communicate effectively with families to gather necessary information and provide guidance on the admissions process.
· Utilize inside sales techniques to identify and engage potential clients, promoting our ABA services and explaining the benefits of single case agreements.
· Collaborate with clinical teams to develop individualized treatment plans and gather supporting documentation to present to insurance companies.
· Advocate for patients' needs by negotiating with insurance companies to secure single case agreements for ABA services.
· Maintain detailed records of all communications with families, insurance providers, and internal stakeholders.
· Monitor the progress of single case agreements and maintain regular communication with families to provide updates and address concerns.
· Stay current on industry regulations, trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and effective advocacy for our clients.
· Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance expertise in the ABA and ASD fields.
Educational and Work-Experience Requirements
· 2+ years of experience in admissions or inside sales, preferably in the ABA or ASD service industry.
· Strong understanding of the single case agreement process and insurance regulations.
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with families, insurance providers, and internal stakeholders.
· Proven track record in negotiation and advocacy on behalf of clients.
· Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with ABA therapy principles and practices is a plus.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
Expertise Needed
· Proven sales aptitude
· Proper telephone etiquette
· Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
· Ability to work independently and with a team
· Professional or personal experience with ASD and/or ABA therapy

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
