Title: Patient Escort III
Salary Range: $27 to $55
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transport patients and/or family in situations where there is no family member available to assume this responsibility in order to assure accessibility to services, i/e/, medical, social services, etc.
- Communicates to PHN Supervisor or Director any problems or findings regarding patients that warrant follow-up care.
- Utilizes safety measurers in all transports, i.e., locks vehicle when carrying prescription, locks wheelchairs when carrying handicapped, etc.
- For reasons of safety for infants and toddlers up to 40 pounds, infant care seats shall be used when they are transported in company-owned or leased vehicles.
- Safety belts shall be worn by Patient Escorts and all patients during patient transportation or other official business of the program.
- Responsible for the end of the month reports, mileage logs, and auto inspection forms which are due on the third working day of each month to immediate supervisor.
