Position Overview:


This position reports to the PFS Director and is a part of the PFS team. This position will assist the PFS Director with responsible for integration, upgrades, evaluation, design, implementation, testing, training, support, maintenance, integration, and upgrades for all PFS Electronic systems including but not limited to claims software, as well as any other applications assigned. Will be assigned to the Meditech Core Team for PFS, ecW and other patient portal integration and maintenance. Responsible for internal audits, facility credentialing and MRH department support.


Essential Functions
:


Promotes the philosophy and mission of Montrose Regional Health.


Participates in the support and maintenance of the Meditech BAR systems.


Performs user provisioning for assigned applications, including adding new users, update of access level for users, and disabling user access according to MMH policies.


Assists with trouble-shooting issues and validating resolution.


Ensures appropriate availability and data integrity of the claim records residing in HER/Meditech.


Demonstrates proficiency and compliance with all existing federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing PHI.


In addition to the above responsibilities, this role may include such other responsibilities and duties as assigned, based on departmental or enterprise needs and/or responsibilities.


Participates in the implementation and optimization of BAR Meditech systems, including build, testing, and training.


Assists with data validation and updates. Creates monthly reports for department dash board.


Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.


Education and Work Experience


Education: High school graduate or equivalent.


Training & Experience: IT knowledge preferred, or Patient Financial Services related background desired.


Job Knowledge: Meditech or other EHR application dictionary related experience preferred.


Ability to effectively communicate, verbally, and non-verbally, in a clear, concise manner.


Administrative and philosophical compatibility with Montrose Regional Health.


Interpersonal skills and sound judgment necessary to communicate with a wide variety of persons including patients.


The ability to make appropriate decisions based on fact and knowledge is required. The ability to perform detailed work required. The ability to work harmoniously with employees required. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and show good judgment. The ability to make decisions under pressure and deadlines required.


Physical Demands and Working Conditions:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
