Location: Remote - preferred to live in the area

The role you’ll contribute: The Patient Resource Team, often the first contact a caller has with AdventHealth Hendersonville, provides a warm, friendly and professional greeting from a Patient Resource Representative. Patience, empathy, compassion and helpfulness are the hallmarks of our team. Callers depend on the excellent, personalized customer service they receive every day, one call at a time.

The value you’ll bring to the team

  • Answer high volume of inbound calls;
    • Answer on average 80-130 calls per day;
  • Provide excellent customer service to each caller;
    • Answer calls politely, professionally & efficiently;
    • Demonstrate excellent listening skills, patience, empathy and compassion;
    • Maintain a calm demeanor while handling stressful interactions;
    • Troubleshoot caller’s problems and concerns;
  • Access a variety of resources for accurate, complete and appropriate management of calls;
    • Demonstrate flexibility and organization;
    • Navigate a variety of computer-based resources with ease & competence;
  • Assist callers and patients with a variety of needs including:
    • Selecting a new provider, scheduling new patient appointment, & preparing patient for first appointment;
    • Scheduling new and established patient appointments;
    • Assisting patients with patient portal access;
    • Communicating prescription refill requests and other messages to clinic staff;
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills:
    • To help the Patient Resource Team reach and maintain team goals;
    • Develop an excellent working relationship with departments, clinic, and medical staff, to facilitate patient communication and care;
    • Follow all communication protocols;
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of all computer systems and communication tools associated with the performance of the job including:
    • Computer applications, EMR, communications tools;
    • Phone system and telephony applications;
    • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple computer-based resources and applications, moving easily from one to another to complete tasks;

Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required;
  • Medical training preferred;
  • One-year + medical office experience preferred;
