Lexington Eye Associates is currently looking for a full-time Patient Service Specialist to join our team at our Arlington location.

This role serves as the first point of contact between our patients and the practice. Patient Service Specialists provide high quality healthcare services to our patients with a commitment to our patient forward values and mission. Candidates must be dependable, organized, possess a strong team mentality, excellent customer service skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to problem solve when dealing with difficult situations.

Daily tasks include:

• Checking in/out patients, collecting co-payments, ordering & dispensing contact lenses
• Scheduling appointments, problem-solving, and schedule optimization
• Obtaining, managing, and troubleshooting referrals and authorizations
• Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
• Communicating proactively with clinical staff and billing staff regarding any issues concerning patient care

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the healthcare industry preferred
• Must be a team player and willing to work together
• Must have efficient communication and documentation skills with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Previous EMR (electronic medical records) experience preferred.
• EPIC experience a plus, but not required
• Must possess a personable, collaborative attitude, and the ability to prioritize many different projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
