Position Summary:
The Payroll Analyst will oversee and supervise the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third party payments)
- Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
- Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
- Other Duties as Assigned
Competencies
Highly Competent in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, SumIF, Data Manipulation)
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Collaborate well with other departments
Understanding of financials and the ability to relay the data into information
Required Skills/Abilities:
Attention to detail
Excel skills are a must
Works well in a fast paced environment
Experience with many different payroll software packages (Paylocity & Paycom highly preferred)
Preferred education and experience
Bachelors Degree or Professional Equivalent
2-5 years of payroll experience
This is a full time, position based out of either the Champaign, IL or Columbia, MO offices with the opportunity for remote/flexible work as well.
