Job Summary:
Perform daily journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and various accounting-related activities, create reports and working closely with the Payroll Manager to provide management information and support as required. The duties for Payroll Clerk include, but are not limited to, those described below.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Confidentiality: Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
  • Communication: General daily accounting functions to facilitate the accurate processing of payroll and provides additional support and assistance to the Loan Servicing and A/P areas as needed.
  • Training: Completes required training to facilitate streamlined implementation of payroll system; maintains resident expert status inside Finance Department cross-training personnel as directed.
  • Equipment: Uses such office equipment as computer terminals, copiers, and FAX machines.
  • Physical: Sits for extended time periods. Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
Responsibilities:
  • Processes Payroll Maintenance
    • Entering employee information and payroll data
    • New hire setup
    • Process payroll adjustments
    • Processes insurance deduction changes
    • Processes W-4, and direct deposit changes
  • Answers employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll.
  • Responds to email inquiries by EOD and answers/returns all calls
  • Train & Assist Management with Time & Attendance
  • Issuing and delivering paychecks to employees.
  • Assists in special projects as required.
  • Assists in the development of payroll policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum two to five years of custmoer experience.
  • Mortgage industry experience a plus.
Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal-communication and business-relationship skills.
  • Detail orientation with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Technologically proficient in MS Windows software.
Education:
  • BS or BA degree in accounting preferred but not required

Min: USD $15.50/Hr. Max: USD $17.50/Hr.
