The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for performing Payroll duties and works closely with Payroll management and HR staff members. Together, they successfully maintain the objectives of the department in carrying forth a legally compliant, ethical, and safe work environment committed to the goals of the company. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll related duties, onboarding process full-cycle, E-Verify and policy & procedure administration.
This position will be based at the Hillside location at 300 N. Mannheim Rd, Hillside, IL. This position could be eligible to participate the telecommuting / work from home program after an initial training period.

Essential Job Duties
- Participates in the facilitation and planning of regularly scheduled New Hire Orientations.
- Creates and maintain new hires data in the payroll software
- Perform E-Verify process for all new hires at all business units
- Audits new hire data based on weekly report and update the payroll software accordingly
- Creates and maintain new hires personal records in the HR file room including pre-boarding documents.
- Supports Payroll Specialist with any payroll processing data, including but not limited to: expenses, mileage reimbursements, commissions, bonus and spiffs.
- Supports payroll on any end of the year reporting, reconciliation and amendments for W2 purposes
- Submits appropriate IT tickets for transfer of employees, promotions, demotions to alert of personal changes in a timely manner.
- As needed, assists with various projects as part of the Payroll / HR function’s expansion and cross-training.
Preferred Job Requirements
- High School diploma or its GED equivalent, some college preferred.
- 3 or more years’ experience with payroll processing in ADP and/or Paycor software.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High School diploma or its GED equivalent
- 2 years or more experience with payroll, HRIS, human resources and related office functions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
- Use computers, photocopiers, scanners, phone systems and meeting and virtual platform sharing relative to the needs of the job.
- Minimum keyboarding skills of 40 words per minute.
