Our fast-paced pediatric dental office in El Cerrito is looking for a full-time patient dental assistant or registered dental assistant who is positive, friendly, relational, and self-motivated. We are a tight-knit team that values clear communication and helping one another to be able to treat our patients with the highest standard of care.
We are looking for someone who:
- Warmly welcomes every patient and makes a remarkable first impression
- Can fulfill their duties to their best ability and be willing to train and grow in their role to serve our patients and co-workers best
- Is reliable and finds value in providing optimal care to our patients
Duties Include:
- Sterilization of dental instruments
- Providing exceptional patient care including oral hygiene instruction, dental prophylaxis, and coronal polishing
- Chairside assisting in restorative procedures including those with nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and general anesthesia
- Taking accurate dental radiographs
- Managing phone correspondences with patients
Qualifications:
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Able to multi-task
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Creatively solves problems and creates results
- Is self-motivated and a fast learner
- Maintains a professional appearance and attitude
- Dental experience is a plus but not required
- Dentrix experience is a plus
- Existing coronal polishing and x-ray permits/license is a plus, but can be obtained through job training
- BLS certification is required
