A Brief Overview
With the Pharmacy Manager, responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of retail pharmaceutical services. Will provide services to patients from birth to death.

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy. Required or
  • Doctorate PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy. Required

Experience Qualifications
  • 3 years retail/mail-order/specialty pharmacy/equivalent work experience or has successfully completed a Post Graduate-Year 1 accredited pharmacy practice residency. Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Excellent customer service skills. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. (Required proficiency)
  • Spreadsheets, Word processing, Internet/E-mail, Database software, Contact Management (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications
  • Pharmacist - KBP Must be licensed in Kansas or receive licensure in Kansas within 90 days of hire. Required
  • Basic Life Support - BLS Required within 90 days of hire.
  • Vaccine certification is required within one year of employment.

What you will do
  • Performs staffing duties and patient care activities to ensure prompt and accurate dispensing of all medications.
  • Provides management-level intervention for daily issues and problems requiring interaction between the Pharmacy Department and other health system personnel.
  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Ensures compliance with controlled substance records and other governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Provides implementation support, coordination and supervision of departmental automation initiatives and processes.
  • Participates in the hiring, training, scheduling, staffing and evaluation of department personnel.
