The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for creating a positive patient experience by providing exceptional customer service to our patients. The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the drug distribution process.

MOST IMPORTANT PLEASE HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS OR MORE EXPERIENCE IN RETAIL PHARMACY SETTING.

Basic Requirements:- Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency.- Answer telephone with appropriate greeting.- Greet each customer in a courteous and professional manner.- Assist all pharmacy and front store customers with their questions and concerns.- Open to take constructive criticism from Pharmacist & Manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Counts, packages, pre-packages and labels medication for inspection by pharmacist and fills routine orders for non-prescription pharmaceuticals.

• Inputs patient and prescription data into logs and/or pharmacy computer system to process prescriptions and maintain patient profiles.

• Assists and serves patients.

• Assists pharmacists as directed.

• Assists in the ordering, stocking, and maintenance of drug inventory.

• Coordinates with providers as to dispensing of prescribed formularies in the dispensary/pharmacy.

• Complies with Cash Register Policies and Procedures

• Understands and can perform basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct doses of medications.

• Maintains knowledge of third parties and billing (i.e. Medicare Part Ds and Medicals). Must be able to submit claims and PA's.

• Maintains and prepare orders to maintain an adequate inventory, LTC and pharmaceutical supplies, paper and equipment.

• Adheres to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices. Complies with state and federal laws. Maintain customer/patient confidentiality according to HIPAA and company standards.• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED• Current/Valid CA Pharmacy Technician License

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• 2 years' experience in a retail pharmacy setting preferredRequired experience:Retail Pharmacy Setting : 2 years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
