Dartmouth-Hitchcock Pharmacy seeks a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Infusion Clinic in Nashua, NH. Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, the technician performs routine and specialized technical and clerical duties for drug distribution to patients. This individual has excellent customer service skills and is able to function independently within their scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities
- Prepares prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices.
- Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines and/or robots.
- Serves as a preceptor and assists with orienting and training of pharmacy department staff. Provides CII oversight.
- Communicates supply issues, problems or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Assists with workflow management
Inpatient and Infusion Only:
- Prepares intravenous admixtures or other sterile drug products (including antineoplastic, investigational and hazardous medications) in accordance with USP chapters <797> and <800> under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Prepares or compounds non-sterile drug products (including antineoplastic, investigational and hazardous medications) in accordance with USP chapters <795> and <800> under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Utilizes closed system transfer devices to limit potential exposure of the environment to hazardous medications.
- Follows investigational protocols in the preparation of study medications, maintains records of preparation, stability, and dispenses as required.
- Maintains the hardware and software of the department's multiple computer systems.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in a health or related field, with 1 year of pharmacy experience, or the equivalent in education and experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required. - Registered Pharmacy Technicians practicing in VT locations required to be registered with the VT Board of Pharmacy. - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required. - BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire for Pharmacy Technicians in the Retail or Specialty Pharmacy. For Specialty Pharmacy if employee is designated as a full-time remote employee working outsie of the states of NH/VT, BLS is not required.
