We are seeking a Photo Archivist with extensive knowledge of photography and video archiving, document management, photo retouching and compositing, and creative automation to join our team. We will work closely with you as you partner with the photography team to for post-production of premier photography, maintain our vast image and video archive, and create infrastructure that supports the production of media content on a global scale. As an archivist, you have a deep curiosity about organizational principles and a keen ability to understand accessibility needs in a multi-disciplinary and cross functional organization. You have an excellent understanding of artistic standards including color spaces, and retouching skills across a wide variety of photography. Key Qualifications
- Best in class retouching skills, including skin and clothing retouching, compositing and image extensions
- An artistic eye towards composition and experience applying treatments, stylizing, and manipulating photography to create editorial artwork
- Digital Asset Management (DAM) experience (uploading, organizing, data entry, etc.)
- Quality Control experience specific to photography assets
- Familiarity with testing new software features and reporting and documentation of bugs to partners/engineering efforts
- Advanced guide/documentation creation for teaching purposes
- Deep knowledge of metadata/structural hierarchies
- Asset workflow/pipeline planning and future proofing
- Ability to work rapidly with short deadlines
- Clear and concise communication skills
- A sense of ownership to complete projects without needing direct supervision
- Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom expertise, including batch processing, color correction, and template creation
- Familiarity with Capture One’s tethering, image adjustments, and metadata presets
Description
The Media Products Design team conceptualizes, designs and creates the content experiences for some of Apple’s most visible products. Your ideas can impact the way people consume media products, what they look and feel like and how they’re used by hundreds of millions of people across the world.
Education & Experience
Degree in BS/BA Photography, Film or New Media preferred

- 7+ years relevant experience required;
- Flexibility to accommodate travel when needed

Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $106,500 and $201,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
