We are looking for several teacher positions at Ignite Academy located in Tarpon Springs, FL. Ignite Academy’s vision is about creating learning environments where kids are immersed in real health, equipping learners to develop healthy habits that enable each child to thrive while connecting with their story in Christ. Established in 2018, Ignite Academy is a small Christian school where developing strong relationships with the community, families and staff is the highest priority as they experience rapid growth. Uniquely students have over 60 minutes of outdoor time each day and the average classroom size is 14.

Teacher hours are from 8:00 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. Teachers return for the upcoming school year on August 2nd.

The school is currently serving grades K through 5, and with the 2023-2024 school year expanding to 6th grade (and through 8th grade in subsequent years).

• 6th Grade (Reading & ELA)

Teachers of Ignite Academy are valued as educators and team members. They carry the voice of the mission into the classroom and are responsible for leading the growth of every learner in their care. Reporting directly to the Education Leader and School Leader teachers are responsible for the following:

• Creating a healthy classroom culture and environment that adheres to the school’s mission and vision
• Lesson planning
• Delivery of learning experiences
• Tracking of learning goals and student growth
• Student engagement
• Classroom management
• Collaboration with colleagues and supervisors
• Student development and discipleship
• Modeling of healthy habits (mental, physical, and spiritual)
• Sharing the mission and vision of the school with the community
• Adherence to school values, beliefs and initiatives
• Collaboration with parents
• Continuous personal growth as an educator

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in education)
• Current teaching certificate (or actively obtaining)
• 2+ years teaching experience preferred
