Physical Education Teacher (full-time, salaried) Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School seeks a highly qualified Physical Education Teacher for the 2023-2024 academic year. Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School is going into the first year of transitioning to a Catholic liberal arts K-8
school within the Diocese of Tulsa.
Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School is an apostolate of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church which serves North Tulsa. Our parish serves many families and offers Spanish Masses, English Masses, and traditional Latin Masses.
As a Catholic school, our primary mission is to help prepare students for Eternal Life. Through a rigorous integrated curriculum, we strive to form the hearts, minds, bodies, and souls of our students. Starting the 2023-2024 school year, faculty, staff, and students will participate in daily Mass.

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate is...

Faithfulness to the moral and doctrinal teachings of the Catholic Church
Familiarity with Catholic Liberal Arts pedagogy and/or openness to learning about and
implementing the same.
Bachelor's degree in a subject-area related to the position for which you apply.
Certification or openness to certification in the area in which you will teach.
Joyful Catholic who is inspired by a missionary spirit.
Ability to cultivate a culture of virtue, holiness, joy, and wonder in the classroom and the
community.
Give witness to the full mission of the school in all aspects of professional and personal
life.
Capability of teaching well in multiple subject-areas while collaborating with colleagues.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to a wide range of students.
Effective planning skills and collaboration with administration and parents.
Competency in teaching, pedagogical methods, and classroom management.
Understand, appreciate, and implement order and discipline within the classroom -
familiarity with the preventive system of St. John Bosco.
Create a disciplined, organized, safe, open, and joyous learning environment.
Work cooperatively and effectively with the administration and staff.
Interact with students in a joyful, respectful, friendly, and just manner.
Recognizing parents as the primary educators, creates and maintains positive and
collaborative relationships with parents.
Maintains professionalism in appearance, grooming, words, manners, and actions.
Handles confidential situations, discipline, and/or sensitive information discreetly.
Seeks professional growth opportunities in consultation with the school's administration.
Maintains Diocesan VIRTUS/CYP certification (ongoing throughout each year).
