Physical Therapist- Outpatient New Berlin 0.7 FTE

Schedule Details: Clinics open from 7am-7pm Monday through Thursday, and 7 am to 5:30 pm. Must work two shifts to close at 7 pm weekly.

About Us:

The Outpatient Therapy department services Waukesha county in 14 locations including clinics affiliated with Waukesha, Oconomowoc, and Mukwonago Memorial Hospitals. We employ 70 Physical therapists, and 2 Physical therapy assistants. Clinical staff provides care for patients with musculoskeletal, neurologic, and medical diagnoses, seeing patient from infancy through late adulthood. Many specialty services are offered including Cancer Rehab, lymphedema therapy, Pelvic floor rehab, dry needling, vestibular therapy for dizziness, balance and falls, and sport rehab. They also provide specialty care to the pediatric population for complex medical, congenital, orthopedic and neurologic conditions, and sensory processing disorders.

Examinates and Evaluates invididuals referred for Physical Therapy Services. Establishes a Physical Therapy differential diagnosis, prognosis and plan of care. Implements physical therapy treatment for patients based on evaluation results and plan of care. Re-assesses the ongoing effects of treatment. Collaborates with and provides consultation to others in care delivery. Supervises physical therapy assistants and rehab aides..

Essential Functions:

• Independent in evaluation, treatment, documentation, and follow through with patients, their families, and providers.
• Takes direction from supervisor and mentors; functions well with appropriate supervision.
• Ability to handle simple to moderate case complexity, mild behavioral or mental health issues and limited co-morbidities.
• Provides education and coaching to others outside the physical therapy discipline. Examples include describing the role of physical therapy, advocating for physical therapy, instructing other disciplines on physical therapy treatment, educating physicians and other providers, instructing and coaching parents in home programs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field is required, Doctorate in related field is preferred.
• State of Wisconsin Physical Therapist licensure.
• BLS (CPR).
