Physical Therapist (Part Time) - New Hyde Park

Temporary/Part Time/Per Diem Career Opportunities Available at Our New Hyde Park, Woodbury and Brookville Locations!

Brookville Center for Children’s Services is an Office of Children & Family Services (OCFS) approved and licensed Day Care Program and State Education Department (SED) approved program. Children are afforded an enriching experience and adhere to the New York State Standards of Early Childhood Learning. Activities such as music, arts and crafts, language, motor, pre-academic and technology are taught by appropriately credentialed staff.

We are currently seeing a Physical Therapist to evaluate and provide appropriate physical therapy services to assigned children. This person will participate in planning meetings in terms of children’s needs, communicate appropriately to families and other professional staff of assigned children. May be required to attend evening meetings.

We require:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Knowledge of anatomy, neuro-motor development and developmental psychology.
• Registration as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum one (1) year related work experience working with preschool and school age special needs population to ensure a working knowledge of assessment and treatment through activities therapy in an educational setting.
• Physical aspects may include, but are not limited to: lifting and transferring of a student.
• Must be vaccinated for covid-19
