The Physician Recruitment Manager, under the direction of the Assistant Vice President of Physician Recruitment, will drive recruitment processes within RWJBarnabas Health Physician Development Department by developing infrastructure, talent acquisitions processes and recruitment resources to capture both physicians and advanced providers into the largest and most comprehensive health system in New Jersey. The Physician Recruitment Manager will lead a large-scale team of recruiters and plays a pivotal role within a high-performing talent team whose main objective is to successfully attract and retain a highly qualified physician workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and guide a team of Physician Recruiters and Experience Specialists to meet goals and objectives of the Physician Recruitment team and Rutgers RWJBH system.
- Track and maintain recruitment activity and open positions reporting, providing regular updates to Leadership, Senior Administration, Service Line Leaders and Hiring Managers as needed.
- Identify and support sourcing initiatives for physician candidates through a variety of resources to include, but not limited to, job board postings; email and direct mail campaigns; relationship development with professional organizations, conferences, associations, and residency/fellowship programs; agency vendors; referrals; cold calls, etc.
- Support the Resident Development Initiative through continued outreach to Rutgers RWJBarnabas Health residency and fellowship programs, leading career workshops, 1-on-1 consultations, and other networking or professional events as needed.
- Report team metrics to AVP of Physician Recruitment and SVP of Business Development on a reoccurring basis, or as needed.
- Maintain effective working knowledge of physician employment agreements, employment process, offer packages, compensation structures, and system benefit plans.
- Provide ongoing education and mentorship to direct reports regarding recruitment best practices and processes, physician compensation and contracting policies/practices, and health system and regional community knowledge.
- Lead executive level physician searches and generally support the candidate interview process as needed.
- Collaborate with AVP and Physician Contracting Department to ensure that terms are correct and meet FMV standards.
- Serve as a liaison between the Physician and other internal departments to facilitate the collection of documentation for hospital privileging and credentialing processes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years recruitment experience required; dedicated physician or advanced practice provider recruitment experience strongly preferred.
- Prior management experience in a healthcare or talent acquisition setting strongly preferred.
- Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with all levels within the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
- Exhibit a high energy level, and demonstrate the ability to work as a team, with flexibility in work habits to meet changing deadlines and accommodate candidate and business needs.
- Self-driven and motivated with the ability to successfully meet established goals /deadlines with limited supervision.
- Strong computer technology skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Minimal travel is required, valid driver’s license required and means of transportation.
