Salary: BASE PAY $75,000 + Mission (Flight) Pay $675 + Per Diem

*Total Compensation: $140,000 up to $155,000

Schedule: 7 Days on / 7 Days off

When the pilot is off, they are off and no overtime required

The Captain has responsibility for the aircraft, its occupants and/or cargo commences when the aircraft is assigned to him, and he accepts the flight, from Operations Personnel. During this time, that aircraft will be operated in accordance with all applicable FAR's, Company Operations Specifications, PT 135 GOM, policies and procedures. The Captain's responsibility for the aircraft ends when the aircraft and associated flight documentation for that specific flight is surrendered/returned to the Operations or Maintenance Personnel on duty upon completion of the flight. The Captain reports directly to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of each flight assignment. He shall meet all applicable FAA regulatory requirements.

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Determines that he is adequately rested and in proper dress.
2. Plans flight assignments and obtains information regarding the purpose of the flight, weather, operating procedures and special instructions. 3. Prepares or supervises preparation of flight plans, considering such factors as altitude, terrain, weather, range, weight, cruise control data, airport facilities and navigational aids.
4. Ensures proper flight kit is aboard the flight. 5. Ensures that required airworthiness inspections have been accomplished and any previous discrepancies have been corrected or properly deferred in accordance with the MEL, if authorized for that aircraft.
6. Supervises or accomplishes the aircraft pre-flight inspection and performs pre -flight preparation. 7. Ensures that proper loading, distribution, and security of cargo, baggage, and passengers is accomplished. Ensures that carry-on baggage is properly weighed and stowed for the flight. Determines that aircraft weight and balance is within prescribed limits, prepares Flight Manifest and ensures that a copy is retained/forwarded to Company Operations Personnel, as appropriate for filing upon completion of each flight assignment.
8. Ensures provisions for passenger comfort and any special emergency equipment, such as life vests (if required) are aboard. 9. Retains final responsibility for the logging of aircraft flight time and the filing and closing of flight plans and preparation of his flight and duty time records.
10. Ensures, to the best of his ability, all flights arrive and depart on scheduled time. 11. Ensures the proper preparation of all Company required flight records.
12. The Captain is ultimately responsible for passenger safety and ensuring ramp security is maintained while passengers are being boarded or disembarked. 13. The Captain will conduct or directly supervise the Second in Command and/or medical personnel, during the briefing of all passengers prior to each take-off, landing and during en-route operations as required.
14. The Captain will ensure all aircraft operations are conducted utilizing the appropriate checklist and company procedures.
