Job Summary
Based in Kilkenny, Ireland and reporting to the R&D Applications Manager, The primary purpose of this position is to support the EU applications research efforts by maintaining all pilot plant and lab equipment, keeping the lab clean, organised, stocked, and supporting in-house customer trials in conjunction with scientists

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not restrictive)
Maintenance of pilot plant and lab equipment
Be familiar with processing equipment and following SOP’s
Order and keep stock materials up-to-date
Keep the lab organised and clean
Be familiar with food safety/GMP lab protocols
Be part of the Healthy&Safety team
Self-motivated
Ability to multi-task

Any other key functions and will include any items not captured under essential functions

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education, Training/ Experience Required:
Relevant technical and/or operational experience in a value-add dairy or related high-end nutrition industry or Science based qualification (Food Science, Dairy Science or a related field)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Be familiar with basic computer skills and programs (word, excel, powerpoint)
Must have demonstrably strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), to include speaking clearly in positive or negative situations
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel with the utmost professionalism
Works with supervision while remaining productive at all times
Flexibility and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment is a must
Possesses a passion for learning new skills

Language, Computer & Numeracy:
Fluent in written and spoken English required
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent skills in Microsoft package
