What you will do:

The Plant Engineer will be responsible for ensuring safe operating conditions, as well as ensuring that compliance is meeting standards of federal, state, and local laws/regulations. In addition, this position is also responsible for confirming effective communication between maintenance, operations, and management.


  • Assure availability of production and/or infrastructure units at required capacity, rate and quality
  • Responsible for complete and correct documentation: Equipment records, plant manual and process safety information (PSI) therein
  • Assure availability of production and/or infrastructure units at required capacity, rate and quality
  • Planning and execution of small and medium size investment projects in their domain
  • Perform troubleshooting activities
  • Documenting and updating PSM related topics, e.g. Process Hazard Analysis, Procedures
  • Implementing continuous improvement and apply new technologies

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, Mechanical or Chemical preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Process or Project Engineering experience in a chemical plant.
  • Knowledge of modern planning tools and digitalization
  • Good knowledge in project management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, decision making, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively as both a team leader and as a team member
  • Ability to maintain productive relationships with superiors and peers alike
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and tasks.
  • Detailed knowledge of plant operations to facilitate successful recommendation and implementation of projects that meet objectives to improve plant performance in a measurable fashion (throughput, quality, on stream, safety, environmental considerations).
  • Knowledge of advanced mechanical concepts, applicable process and personnel safety considerations, and environmental regulations are integral to the position.
  • Specific applications used routinely include SAP, PI ProcessBook, Microsoft Office applications, PHA Works, DSC (D3, PCS7, DeltaV), SharePoint, Comos.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on the equipment/project demands (inspections, project execution, etc.).
