They have asked us to go out and find a progressive leader to manage one of their manufacturing facilities located in the Dayton, Ohio metropolitan area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, organization, control, and direction of all operations.

What you will be doing
1. In this role you will be directing the preparation of short and long-term manufacturing plans in meeting production requirements at the lowest cost consistent with the best product quality possible.
2. Develop, establish and maintain programs/systems needed to control and optimize work flow scheduling from order inception through manufacturing operations to on-time delivery to customers.
3. Maintain continual focus on improvement in production cycle time, elimination of waste and reduction of WIP inventories through use of process control analysis methods for problem identification, development of standardized Company-wide procedures and follow-up measurement in key areas of productivity.
4. Develop forecasts and cost estimates covering such areas as capital equipment expenditures, facilities and capacity requirements and organizational/staffing plans. Continually reviews performance to determine progress in meeting objectives.
5. In close coordination with Sales, develop and implement production schedules that will meet or exceed customer expectations. Works with all functional areas to ensure the highest level of customer service. Interacts with customers on their periodic visits to the Company and on specific customer projects.
6. Assess present and future technical/operation’s needs, trends, problems and improvement areas within the plant as they relate to present manufacturing methods/equipment or new product possibilities. Maintains knowledge of evolving technologies and latest developments and determine their applicability to the plant as a cost-effective way of achieving greater efficiency in work flow and cycle time reduction.
7. Provides clear leadership on all issues related to the accomplishment of the Plant’s production objectives. Develops, trains, assists and advises subordinate managers, evaluating current performance capabilities and future career growth potential.
What you will need
*Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing Plant leadership experience. Progressive management record must be evident in terms of career growth to assignments of increasing responsibility.
*Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Business Management s preferred.
*Strong manufacturing background with substantive leadership assignments in two or more of areas such as Operations, Quality, or Engineering is a plus.
*Must be systems/personal computer-literate; technologically up-to-date in manufacturing knowledge; and a team player with a high level of energy and self-motivation.
*Must possess a good blend of business maturity, judgment and communications ability – both written and verbal. Must be a “people person” in terms of personality with strong leadership qualities and a well-developed management style that will enable him/her to talk comfortably with associates at any level from the production floor to the senior management levels.
*Must be an individual of unquestioned integrity, capable of rapid assimilation into the organizational style of our client’s Company. The successful candidate should also possess the requisite general business capabilities that will enable advancement beyond this initial assignment.
