Job Description
A highly respected company is looking to add a Plant Manager to their team. This company has made some key upgrades/expansions and are ready to add another member to their successful organization. A competitive compensation/benefit package will be offered to the right individual.
Plant Manager Responsibilities:
Oversee manufacturing operations for a splitting facility consisting of hourly associates and a management staff
Lead the achievement of a zero-injury workplace by ensuring safe work conditions for associates and compliance with all state and federal regulations on environmental, health, and safety issues
Daily interaction with procurement & warehousing to ensure material flow in and out of the plant is optimal for operations and that the appropriate documentation is executed accurately and completely
Responsible for overall plant profit and loss (P&L) for production, maintenance, quality control and warehouse
Work with rail and truck companies to ensure best cost savings and on time deliveries
Manage production supplies and inventories to appropriate levels
Develop plant KPIs and coach staff in regards to their importance
Solves day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
Plant Manager Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, management, maintenance, or a similar field required.
Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (poultry)
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
