Job Summary

The Haven Country Club, a high-end family oriented country club located in Boylston, MA is looking to hire a Player Development Professional for the 2023 golf season. The Player Development Professional partners with the Head Golf Professional and is responsible for creating a culture of improvement at the Club to generate increased levels of participation amongst the members and prospective members. The goal is to increase member value and appeal of the club through improved retention, increased participation and the development of a more vibrant and enjoyable golf community.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have a passion for golf instruction and improvement of their students
  • Experience in organizing, promoting and executing golf schools, clinics, social events and playing lessons.
  • Interest in building lasting relationships with The Haven Country Club’s members.
  • Have outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Be creative, with special attention to detail and organization.

Experience Required:

  • 3+ years of golf instruction experience with an emphasis on group instruction.
  • 3+ years of club fitting experience.
  • Private Club Experience preferred.
  • PGA/LPGA Membership required.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Management of a personal care group. This is a group of allocated golfers who the Player Development Professional will be assigned to take an interest in their retention and participation in club activities. The goal of this is to get this group of members to use the club more through golf.
  • Execution of player development activities. This includes coaching events, member engagement events, golf with members, swing assessments, fittings, active marketing events, and non-traditional golf events such as a short game challenge or putting championship)
  • Improvement of Members’ playing performance through coaching and fitting.
  • Execute and manage junior, adult, new golfer and social programs.
  • Execute and manage active marketing events.
