PLUMBER | Circa €35,900 Per Annum

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Longford Forest as a Maintenance Technician. From fixing faults to replacing items, joining our Technical Services team means you can be a superhero for families during their break. The dedicated team provide a speedy response to any service breakdown while delivering excellent care.

Your responsibilities will be to support the Technical Services Maintenance Managers in the management and supervision of all relevant maintenance works in Central Buildings and/or Accommodation Stock. In addition, you will attend call outs to guest accommodation as well as general buildings around the site and carry out tasks to resolve maintenance issues, reporting any defects or issues which may cause future problems. Other responsibilities will include undertaking inspections, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and assisting with any other general work as briefed by Technical Services Management.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills as you will regularly come into contact with both colleagues and guests. Trade experience is essential as technical knowledge will be required.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

• NFQ Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Plumbing, Pipefitting or demonstrable equivalent (i.e. National Craft Certificate)
• Ability to execute work without supervision
• Ability to work effectively and as part of a team in dynamic and high pressure situations
• A current full Irish/EU, Class B (+E), Drivers Licence

Desirable Requirements:

• Registered Gas Installer with RGII (as an individual or under an employer’s registration)
• Domestic Gas Safety Course
• Gas Installation Safety & Gas Installation Domestic Course
• Domestic Servicing Training Course

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

Your working hours will include days, evenings, weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis, with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.
