G1 Facility Services is a leading facility maintenance and construction provider, proudly serving customers nationally. We support varied industries including Aviation, Food Services, and Hospitality. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome an experienced Plumber to join our dynamic Newark, NJ team.

Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Diagram, install, and repair piping, draining system settings, and fixtures in commercial structures
• Collaborate with electrical, HVAC, and other professionals as necessary for project completion
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on systems as required
• Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required
• Assist with preparing bids, budgets, and cost estimates.
• Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used.

Plumber Qualifications / Skills:

• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
• Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
• Must have a valid US driver license in good standing
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., unassisted

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• State plumbing license
• 5 years’ experience as a commercial plumber preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools preferred but not required

Compensation: Starting salary: $32.00+ per hour- depending on experience, unique PTO policy, medical, vision, dental, and 401K

Estimated work schedule: Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm- with overtime opportunities and potential mandatory emergency call-outs
