The Perry Township Polcie Department is small but growing. We believe in creating a family atmosphere while working to keep the residents of Perry Township safe. Perry Township is a full service department and our Offices patrol 36.53 square miles and serve approxmiately 5,990 residents.

Our police force is looking for individuals who have a commitment to public service and are enthusiastic about working with their community. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work effectively within a large team and have both verbal and written communication skills. We'd like to attract candidates who are dedicated to accountability, justice, and fairness.

Candiates MUST be OPOTA cerified or currently in a Police Academy.

Responsibilities:

• Solve problems and mediate conflicts in the Township of Perry.
• Determine potential sources of conflict and work to prevent them.
• Enforce laws, including making arrests.
• Deal with emotionally disturbing situations, such as domestic violence and child abuse.
• Make decisions in emergency situations, such as fires and medical emergencies.
• Understand regulations and have a basic understanding of criminal law.
• Deal with emergencies that require physical intervention, such as riots and hostage situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
