OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY
The Policy and Procedure Analyst works in conjunction with compliance, legal, programs and business units to develop, revise, update, finalize, file, maintain, and decommission CPLC policies. Additionally, this position will assist corporate departments and programs with developing written procedures, workflows, job aids, templates and necessary supporting documents as required. These documents will help ensure a consistent end-user experience for all CPLC employees.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/A SPECIALIZATIONS
This position will rely heavily on working knowledge on research and development of policies, procedures, and policy training. Experience with writing in a clear, understandable manner within a controlled and regulated environment is a must. Experience with HIPAA requirements and other respective business requirements, relationship management, and knowledge of quality and regulatory compliance requirements are required.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Develop, maintain, and manage the writing of CPLC’s policies, procedures, job aids, templates and supporting documents. Organize, publish, and maintain documents in M365 in such a way that information is easily accessible.
2. Assess current policies, procedures, job aids, templates, and supporting documents for consistency, accuracy, and relevancy with current best practices, business operations, and regulatory requirements.
3. Update, edit, and improve existing policies and procedure documents based on current standards, quality, and style guidelines.
4. Maintain records of all policy, procedures, job aids, templates and supporting document changes.
5. Provide gap analysis on current state of policies, procedures, job aids, templates and supporting documents to ensure compliance with audits and monitoring reviews.
Provide recommended naming conventions and numbering schema for policies, procedures, job aids, templates and supporting documents, Test naming conventions for search and results.
7. Designs, develops, and produces technical schematics, flowcharts, graphics, and other visuals aids and videos to support various policy and procedure document projects.
8. Write other types of documentation, including but not inclusive; manuals, job descriptions, forms, and reference guides that support CPLC policies and procedures.
9. Support CPLC’s programs and lines of businesses by assisting with writing policies, procedures, guidelines, and manuals to be in line with standards for accreditation, agency contract needs, compliance and ongoing continuous quality improvement including policy implementation.
10. Develops, facilitates, or assists with policy trainings and presentations.
11. Develops positive relationships and participates in regular meetings with various CPLC departments, programs, and other employees and/or affiliates; provides answers and assistance regarding interpretation of policies associated with contractual agreements, local, state, and federal regulations.
12. Works with the Director of Corporate and Healthcare Compliance to research, document, communicate and track compliance-related legal and regulatory changes and information arising from bulletins and other information issued by regulator and non-regulatory authorities affecting CPLC lines of business and programs. Follows up with CPLC lines of business and programs to ensure implementation of any necessary changes.
Maintains various record-keeping systems that assist in the collection, analysis and reporting of various documents, data, and key metrics which provide ongoing reports to CPLC departments and program leadership.
14. Provides excellent customer service.
15. Tracks expenditures to ensure they remain within established guidelines.
16. Performs other duties assigned as required and in accordance with CPLC’s Vision and Values.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate will have bachelor’s degree within English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Research, or similar programs and/or 2-year experience in researching, developing, and writing policies and procedures or a closely related field, or a combination of education, training and/or experience that demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above. Preference will be given for the following to the ideal candidate who can demonstrate strong ability to:

Candidate must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain an Arizona fingerprint clearance card and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or be eligible for an exception.

The candidate must be able to apply deductive and inductive reasoning. In addition, proficiency of computer fundamentals and business software is required, Office 365 preferred.
Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Newly hired employees, who are not Fully Vaccinated at the time of hire, are expected to begin a vaccination series immediately upon hire. CPLC recognizes medical and religious exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, in accordance with applicable law and upon approval by CPLC. However, any person approved for an exemption, without exception, is subject to masking, weekly COVID-19 testing at their expense, and other requirements established by CPLC from time to time.
