Position Purpose:

Full-time and seasonal position that requires the individual to provide beach towels and sun care products to guests and owners. Helps in maintaining a safe and enjoyable swimming and relaxing environment to all guests.

Essential Functions:

· Ensuring equipment and area is in clean and safe manner.

· Setting up pool hut and checking towels in/out.

· Maintain proper care, use and arrangement of all pool equipment.

· Assisting the Recreation Department in pool related activities.

Supportive Functions:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of the time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

· Act in a courteous, helpful and efficient manner when dealing with guests and owners.

· Straighten and clean the pool areas on a daily basis and all pool hut storage areas as needed.

· Be knowledgeable of the pool and surrounding areas in order to convey information to the guests.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

· Enjoy working in an outside environment.

· Knowledge of outdoor activities/swimming required.

· Must be able to tolerate environmental conditions, sometimes extreme.

· Must be able to lift 50lbs, carry, reach, bend and twist.

· Must have a positive attitude.

Qualification Standards:

Education:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to being enrolled in high school, preferably an employee possessing a high school diploma or GED.

Experience:

Prior guest services or other hospitality experience is preferred.

Grooming:

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available in the employee handbook).

Other:

Regular attendance in accordance with hotel standards, which may be changed by the Hilton at any time, is essential to successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance, excused or unexcused, will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the seasonal and business nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules and hours to reflect the staffing needs of the hotel.
