Summary:
JEC Miller has been providing supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1978 with our mission to provide the very best care to the individuals we serve. JEC Miller is currently hiring a full-time Positive Support Professional to join our clinical team.
Responsibilities:
Positive Support Professionals provide intensive clinical therapeutic services to individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities and/or mental health support needs. The goal of services is to increase stability, optimize functioning, build resilience, and restore hope. Positive Support Professionals provide services in the individual's home and typically maintain a caseload of 3-6 individuals including both children and adults. Typical responsibilities include child and parent assessment, treatment planning, clinical interventions, implementing and monitoring outcomes, parent/caregiver coaching, crisis planning, and facilitating support groups. Services are provided from a person-centered and acceptance and commitment therapy lens. Positive Support Professionals develop and implement positive behavior support plan, crisis plan, and individual treatment plans for individuals; providing in-the-moment modeling for caregivers. Clinical supervision is provided to specialists pursuing professional licensure.
Qualifications:
-Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field with experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses.
-Preference for applicants with current active and unrestricted license in MN (LP, LICSW, LPCC, LMFT) or working towards clinical licensure.

Pay: $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:
- Positive Support Professionals have flexibility in setting their own schedule with their assigned caseload. This is typically Monday-Friday with some evening sessions scheduled until 7pm.
Location
- Multiple locations in Dakota and Hennepin County
- Positive Support Professionals provide direct in-person services with option of working from home for indirect work responsibilities.

Education:
- Master's Degree
Experience:
Experience in crisis intervention and prevention (1 year required)
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health, and/or behavioral health support needs (1 year required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
