Role: Post Production Support Technician

Location: Remote – Can be based in New Jersey, NYC, Denver, CO, Los Angeles, CA and potentially Miami, FL Preference is a local candidate in NJ/NY

Type: 1 yr contract on W2

Pay Rate: $34/Hron W2

Qualifications:

• At least 5+ years of experience in post-production or knowledge of editing and post processes
• Experience working with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop and Interplay Access and Media Central CloudUX
• Ability to read audio/video scopes
• Experienced knowledge of video/audio codecs, file formats, camera formats and resolutions
• Knowledgeable in all Microsoft Office applications
• (this is an individual contributor role, not a people manager)

• Strong Attention to detail and very organized
• Proactive. Self-starter
• Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure
• Ability and desire to learn new technology, trouble shoot issues, and train others
• Excellent communications skills and ability to interface with multiple departments, clients and vendors
• Experience Working with Avid/Adobe Premiere/After Effects/Photoshop
• Experience with media management
• Knowledge with digital media file types and codecs
• Works independently while maintaining team culture

Responsibilities:

• Editorial project prep
• In depth knowledge and familiarity of network “brand” look for short-form QC and delivery process
• Provide L1 support for both remote and local editors, and Post Production staff
• Active development of workflow design in partnership with Post Management, Engineering and Workflow team
• Automation workflow - profile building and application support
• Onboarding to the VDI or virtual machine/cloud environment for Tech Ops and brand/client users
• Work with Engineering to properly troubleshoot and escalate technical issues
• Facilitate the finishing process supporting color-correction and audio mix
• Machine Learning/AI and Cloud Post (remote edit/graphics) workflows
• Close Caption and Subtitling encoding as necessary for deliverables
• Media management support for Post workflows, as well as all enterprise brand marketing clients
• Finishing renders for snipes, program, and promo graphics
• Design and implement transcode workflows for upload to various delivery platforms
• Archiving content
• Client satisfaction
