Acute Wound Care is a leader of in-home patient care a Florida based DME specializing in compression and wound therapy. Our team is dedicated to improving the lives of people with lymphedema, venous insufficiency, and wound healing.

Acute Wound Care is actively searching for a Florida Operations Director. The successful candidate will build relationships with key referral sources and lead office staff to help drive efficiency in from referral processing time to the patients home. We are seeking someone with excellent interpersonal skills, strong leadership skills along with 5+ years or more of related DME/related experience (medical or healthcare industry) and a Bachelor’s degree are essential for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage administrative office team.
  • Serves as a liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to internal office and sales representatives in the field.
  • Responsible for direction of all staff to ensure organizational goals are met.
  • Responsible for training and communication all in office staff members.
  • Participates in overall referral process monitoring all incoming orders are efficiently being processed through each department, ensuring each patient have satisfactory experience from the time we receive the order to set up with our therapists, marketing/ territory strategy, development.
  • Audits to ensures clinical documentation meets coverage criteria for new orders
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company.
  • Manages day-to-day progress of patient referrals.
  • Provides technical expertise and training to administrative office in support of order process and approval with insurance coverage.
  • Conducts marketing analysis to develop product definitions.
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, patient care coordination, marketing, inventory management, and operations to develop and provide treatment that is responsive to customer needs and market opportunities with new referral sources.
  • Develops and maintains a prioritized list of referring practices and updates sales representatives on account status with patient orders.
  • Provides financial and technical justification for product selection and definition.
  • Identifies partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products to broaden company's product line.
  • Participates in key sales situations for product questions for clinical practices.
  • Prepare reports regarding services, i.e., utilization, performance improvement, service data, outcome data, productivity.
  • Ability to plan and organize orientation and in-service training for department staff members and participate in guidance and educational program.
  • This is an in-house, Bonita Springs, Florida based position; it is not remote.

Management:

  • Responsible for selection and hiring of qualified staff, ensuring an effective on-boarding, and providing comprehensive training and regular feedback
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
  • Establishes annual goals and objectives for the department based on the organization’s strategic goals
  • Responsible for achieving organizational performance and retention goals, including timely completion of performance evaluations

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, engineering or clinical. Experience could sometimes suffice for the educational requirement if in the relevant field and same position.
  • 5+ years’ of Office/Operations Management experience in medical device equipment and/or clinical practice management and/or sales and/or marketing and/or clinical experience.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Knowledge of durable medical equipment
  • Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinates their activities to achieve desired results.
  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
