Foodland, Hawaii's largest locally owned grocery retailer is hiring for Prep Cooks to join our team. We are seeking high energy, creative culinary professionals who are passionate about food and delivering exceptional experiences to all guests.

Prep Cooks must be able to abide by all company policies, house rules and guiding principles. Responsibilities of Prep Cooks include but are not limited to:

  • preparing raw ingredients for use during kitchen service
  • maintaining product quality standards
  • observe and enforce company standard operating procedures
  • ensuring all safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
  • assisting with utility and cooking duties as necessary
  • providing excellent customer service

Prep Cooks must have knowledge of cooking techniques & procedures, kitchen equipment, and kitchen operational systems. Prep Cooks must have the ability to work and communicate well with others, work both independently and in a team, follow directions, as well as maintain a positive attitude toward the work and company. Prep Cooks must also maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observe company dress code, and support the company culture, values, goals and mission.

This is an hourly position and we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/drug/vision insurance and retirement benefits.

Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent, required
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Must have valid TB Clearance
  • Must comply with all company policies and requirements
