Crown Point, Indiana’s first shareable plate restaurant serving a diverse selection of menu choices appealing to all palates. Start with us on day-one as we open in our beautiful newly remodeled bar and kitchen!

We are looking for an experienced, organized, and qualified Sous/Line Cook. You will be a key part of our culinary team and participate in all kitchen activities and training. Our operation will also host events and catering. You will help create the distinctive dishes and develop the plate presentations and as a dishwasher you will be cross trained into the kitchen!

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, clean, and maintain food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, fryers, roasters, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
  • Knows and complies consistently with the restaurant’s standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the quality of products served.

Skills

  • 2-3 years of culinary experience
  • Serve Safe Certified a plus
  • Outstanding communication
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends
  • Degree in the culinary arts is a plus
