Summary of Position
Under general supervision of Principal Investigator and project leads, responsible for
  • the administration and coordination of awardees of Full-Service Community School (FSCS) funding to support planning and collaboration activities by school districts to support entry into and success in elementary education (as identified by the New Hampshire Preschool Development Grant (PDG) through USNH RFP 212023481)
  • supporting NH’s Council for Thriving Children Director with the administration and coordination of Council activities.

The position is employed through UNH and the majority of work will be completed remotely. The grant-funded position will end on December 30, 2023 with the possibility of a one-year extension based on funding availability.
Under broad supervision of NH PDG Principal Investigator, administer project and provide technical assistance to FSCS awardees to support preparation necessary for the coordination and integration of academic, social, and health services through partnerships (e.g., community-based organizations, government agencies, private entities, key stakeholders, etc.). Facilitate a professional learning community focused on planning activities, complex interagency efforts, and extensive communication among partners and key stakeholders inherent to a community school model. Under supervision of the Council Director, provide a high level of administrative and operational support, requiring recurring contact with public and private officials and internal and external constituencies.

  • Experience related to early childhood, early education, and/or research related to publicly funded projects
  • Willingness and ability to conduct background research to become proficient in Full-Service Community School concepts, and to plan, design and implement activities to achieve project objectives.
  • High degree of self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work with diverse constituencies.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, and independent judgment in all interactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Effective organizational and analytical skills, with careful attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with computer databases and applications, such as word processing, desktop publishing, and spreadsheets, and meeting applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong planning skills for managing and implementing complex tasks.
  • Advanced degree in related field.
  • Ability to evaluate progress and results, and recommend changes in procedures or objectives.
  • Experience on major research projects
