Cool Pak LLC a Bunzl company, a fast growing provider of packaging solutions to the produce industry is looking for a Press Operator. The Press Operator is responsible for setting up the printing presses according to established guidelines for each production job. This position is a temporary position for 3-4 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up printing press according to established guidelines for each production job
  • Produce quality labels by following instructions on production ticket. Account for and record materials used during the production process
  • Develop and maintain a teamwork atmosphere
  • Assist in training of helpers and assistants in the printing division
  • Maintain and verify all documentation relative to the production of the specific labels being produced (Item Spec Folders)
  • Maintain ink formula database and inventory accurately and consistently
  • Liaise and attend meetings necessary to perform duties and keep within production schedules
  • Communicate needed supplies and tools as well as receive necessary materials for the department to function efficiently
  • Develop ideas and create ways to increase productivity
  • Follow all standard safety guidelines set forth at Cool-Pak

Requirements:

  • Flexo printing press operator experience is preferred
  • Overtime is required based on business demands; sometimes on short notice
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 40-60 pounds) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift
  • Must be dependable and a team player
  • Must have knowledge of basic math skills
  • Self driven, results oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality labels and business unit profit

Cool Pak Oxnard salary range: $21 - $25 per hour based on experience, education and geographic location
