What you will do:
- Drive the technical evolution of our best in class SaaS cloud platform taking the lead on initiatives including technical design, prototyping, and overseeing execution towards agreed goals.
- Design and maintain the automation used to provision the Cloud Infrastructure to support both production and development
- Collaborate closely with other senior members of the DevOps and Engineering teams to define architectural and operational aspects of Globalization Partners' growing infrastructure.
- Help define the technical strategy for the assigned platform domain
- Advocate and evangelize agile principles and DevOps culture
- Mentor DevOps Engineers to allow for knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities
What we are looking for:
- Solid Engineering background with experience in developing enterprise-scale web/cloud-based commercial products
- Experience with creating and managing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure as code
- Extensive experience in developing and maintaining cloud automation tooling with AWS
- Working experience with Terraform
- Solid Linux administrator experience
- Knowledge of containerization, specifically Docker and a well-known orchestration solution, such as Kubernetes or AWS ECS
- Good networking skills in the area of DNS, VPCs, Subnets
- Knowledge of security in the cloud
- Experience using Git
- Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and minimal direction
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent English (both verbal and written)
- Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
Desirable:
- AWS Certification DevOps or Associate Architect will be a great plus
- Familiarity with Codepipeline, CodeBuild, or CodeDeploy is a plus
- Experience with backup and recovery in AWS is a plus
- Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment is desirable
