TITLE: Principal Engineer I
LOCATION: Greenwood Village, CO
JOB SUMMARY: Design new voice product deployments, develop integration strategies of new products into the production voice network, and support multiple voice platforms in a service impacting event. Design, implement, monitor, enhance, and troubleshoot Voice Over IP (VoIP) systems. Support systems including Nokia IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), MetaSwitch, Nokia TAS (Telephony Application Server), Ribbon Tandem, Cisco Broadsoft, Mavenir Voicemail, and systems considered in future deployments. Support all efforts to enhance the customer experience. Provide engineering support and guidance to various customer support organizations. Construct test plans to validate functionality. Gather performance and business requirements provided by product or engineering teams for newly deployed VoIP products. Develop and implement change method of procedures (MOP) while adhering to change management guidelines. Work with vendors and voice engineering to resolve service impacting issues and design flows. Provide updates on critical projects and service impacting network events. Configure and troubleshoot telecommunication and signal processing systems hardware of IMS, SBC, MGW, SS7/SIGTRAN/ISUP, SIP, TDM, TAS, and Voicemail. Support voice call setup and teardown including voice path RTP protocols, including IMS, SBC, MGW, SS7/SIGTRAN/ISUP, SIP, TDM, TAS, voicemail, call recording, calling features, IB/OOB DTMF, and RFC2833 fax relay; support critical service delivery to meet Service Level Agreements; and Linux/Unix configurations and troubleshooting including user account management, Structure Query Language (SQL), network traffic packet captures, vi editor, backup and restore, and file system and log management
EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Management Information Systems, or a related field. 5 years of experience in: configuring and troubleshooting telecommunication and signal processing systems hardware of IMS, SBC, MGW, SS7/SIGTRAN/ISUP, SIP, TDM, TAS, and Voicemail; voice call setup and teardown including voice path RTP protocols, including IMS, SBC, MGW, SS7/SIGTRAN/ISUP, SIP, TDM, TAS, voicemail, call recording, calling features, IB/OOB DTMF, and RFC2833 fax relay; critical service delivery to meet Service Level Agreements; and Linux/Unix configurations and troubleshooting including user account management, Structure Query Language (SQL), network traffic packet captures, vi editor, backup and restore, and file system and log management. Remote work permitted up to two days per week.
Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $139,984 per year.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $139984 .00 to $196,400.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
