Job Summary/Basic Function
PRIVATE PIANO INSTRUCTION: One-on-one instruction can include a range of student ages, abilities and grade levels. Instructors may work with children or adults. Music teachers must show considerable skill, knowledge, patience and creativity; they encourage music appreciation as well as instruct students in the technical aspects of music and performance. CSA instructors develop curriculums, conduct rehearsals, assist in musical performances, and assess the progress of students. Instructors are responsible for communicating with students about homework (if any), special events and rescheduled classes.
