Job Description Summary
As a member of the engineering group that provides engineering support within a high volume, fully automated manufacturing environment, the Process Engineer is responsible for and involved in troubleshooting, maintenance and continuous improvement of the production process and equipment in the assigned manufacturing area.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead and be the subject matter expert in the assigned process engineering group.
- Drive a structured problem-solving approach through all engineering groups.
- Execute process improvements through identification of problem areas/opportunities and collaboration with internal groups and external vendors.
- Assist with QN, Customer Complaint and CAPA investigations.
- Support the development team in the specification, installation and qualification of new equipment ensuring best practice is read across from previous learning on site.
- Work closely with internal and external suppliers, as well as supplier quality to investigate issues and ensure that material input and equipment process capability are matched.
- Input to and signoff on any change control that affects the assigned process engineering area.
- Lead the training and development of technicians in the assigned process engineering area.
- Support the maintenance function in the analysis of machine / process issues.
- Ensure that associates are working in a safe manner and that existing and new tasks are risk assessed.
- Ensure that all group activities are fully compliant with the Business Quality Policy
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
Relevant Experience:
- At least 2-3 years process engineering experience.
- Strong data analysis skills and experience applying Six Sigma or equivalent structured problem-solving approaches
- Knowledge of Lean techniques: Standard Work, TPM
- Familiarity with equipment validation and documentation within a regulated industry is advantageous
