Come join us as a Process Engineering Manager! In this role you will help us champion our teams by supporting all day to day operations across all warehouse applications and processes so we can deliver best in class service to the business in order to minimize the impact of downtime to daily operations.
Who Are We Looking for:
Mentor and coach, a dynamic Engineering and Control Tower team building a knowledge database to support day to day operations across all Warehouse applications and processes.- Work as part of a strong management team to deliver best in class service to the business in order to minimize the impact of downtime to daily operations adhering to GDP and GMP best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve the processes and systems that drive the day-to-day operation in all Uniphar facilities.
- Build a continuous improvement culture and drive process optimization throughout the warehouse’s, including but not limited to, the application and all its associated processes, workflows and functionalities while minimizing and removing all non-value-added activities.
- Lead Internal projects/cross departmental projects focused on meeting quick deadlines while delivering a high-quality output. Establishing metrics to monitor the performance of each project and understanding the benefit to the organization
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To act as a champion for continuous learning so that the skill level of the department continues to improve, deliver value for Uniphar’s internal and external customers.- Create a service desk team culture that is centred on the customer serving as the "Go To Person" for assistance and direction.
- Development of strategies and initiatives related to Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing to drive improved operational performance, Oversight, development of Continuous Improvement programme – ensuring consistency in Continuous Improvement approach and the capture and sharing of best practice, across the Division.
- To act as a guardian for best practices so that we continue to drive ourselves forward.
- To encourage everyone to take the initiative to solve problems so that we are all working together to make things better.
- Set challenging performance goals for the team, monitor individual effectiveness, identify skills gaps, and implement programmes to address.
- To instil quality assurance principles within the department and across operational processes to insure audit readyat all times.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Honors Degree in Engineering/Science or IT- 5+ years’ experience in the Pharma/FMCG/Manufacturing sectors
- Operations Management experience (ideally within FMCG)
- High-level people management skills and leadership. 5+ years experience
- Project Management Experience essential
- Lean six sigma qualification
- Experience of Continuous Improvement in a global business
- Consistent with a hands-on approach, and ownership for results, on-call for critical issues is essential
