Procurement Buyer

Primary Role:

• Assist with sourcing parts and seeking out new/alternate sources both domestic and international.
• Create, maintain, and update spreadsheets.
• Review Access database and create purchase orders for internal customers.
• Communicate purchase orders to suppliers and provide detailed follow up to internal customers in all plant locations.
• Follow up regularly with suppliers and provide updates on the status of critical orders.
• Make travel arrangements and rental car reservations for internal customers.
• Assist with answering phones.
• Occasional special projects as needed.
• Match packing lists to purchase orders and work with accounting to get orders received promptly.
• Assist Accounting with invoice issues/questions.

Skill Set:

• Strong Excel skills – Developing and maintaining spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Purchasing experience
• Experience sourcing products and suppliers
• Experience creating and managing RFPs, RFQs
• Familiarity with working in MRP/ERP/SAP systems (Experience with system implementation is a plus)
• Good organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
