Position Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to enforce and monitor the policies and procedures pertaining to Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity and HUD compliance for the Housing Authority of Baltimore. Develops and maintains the database for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity reporting requirements. Considerable initiative, judgment, and discretion are required in performing all work.


All activities must support the Housing Authority of Baltimore City (“HABC” or “Authority”) mission, strategic goals, and objectives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The position duties and responsibilities listed below describe the general nature and scope of work. Other responsibilities, duties and skills may be required and assigned, as needed.
  • Develops, collects and maintains database systems to provide reporting and statistical data pertaining to fair housing, and the Minority and Women’s Business Enterprise (M/WBE) program, and the Section 3 – Resident Employment Program.
  • Provides the information for both the 2516 and 6002 reports.
  • Analyzes report data to identify trends or to enact corrective action, if needed.
  • Conducts pre-bids meetings and pre-construction conferences with vendors and other entities conducting business with HABC as needed.
  • Provides technical assistance to staff, contractor, residents and general public in areas of MBE/WBE and Section 3 compliance and procurement activities.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of the agency's equal opportunity training programs and workshops for HABC and HCD.
  • Performs other related duties as required.


Education and/or Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or vocational school
  • Two (2) years of progressive experience in pest control trade/industry preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered

Requirements

  • You must successfully pass a prescreening investigation, including employment and education verification, drug screening, and a physical examination.
  • Probationary Period: This is a full-time permanent position. Upon employment, you will be required to serve a 6-month probationary period.
  • All new employees are required to receive at least one COVID-19 vaccination shot in a two-shot series or be fully vaccinated prior to the date of hire.
