Job Overview

Hexatronic Rochester Cable end-markets are going through a period of exponential change and rapid growth. To support this, we are looking to add a Procurement Manager based in our facility in Culpeper Virginia.

The successful candidate is responsible for obtaining equipment and services, gathering quotations, examining bids, negotiating terms and conditions, and awarding contracts.

The Procurement Manager performs cost analysis and volume planning for commodities, evaluates vendor reliability, and develops new supply sources where required. They coordinate purchasing activities with the manufacturing and engineering departments to monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. They also look for and recommend cost-saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria, as well as develop specifications for new contract orders.

Key Responsibilities Include:

· Collaborating with key company employees to determine their product and service needs

· Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management

· Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results

· Identifying and implementing opportunities for total cost of ownership reduction incentives

· Managing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the organization

· Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business

· Creating policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation

· This role will report directly to the Operations Director

· Work at all levels to ensure that sound strategies and practices are in place and issues resolved to achieve business results

· Achieve key procurement performance objectives: material productivity, supplier quality and delivery performance improvement, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) solutions, supplier base optimization, supplier social responsibility and risk mitigation

· Developing sourcing strategy by working across the business to deliver a fine-tuned commodity strategy to support the business growth needs

· Work with our finance team on standard cost forecasting to ensure accuracy of forward costs in our quarterly standard cost roll

· Monitor key economic, financial, technology, and environmental issues that may impact Rochester Cable objectives

· Maintain relationships with existing suppliers of both indirect and direct purchases

· Develop relationships with new potential suppliers together with other functional teams

Minimum Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

· At least ten (10) years in a senior procurement role (indirect or direct) combined with strong business acumen

· Strong technology background, coupled with a business acumen that blends strategy and execution to focus on growing our business.

· Ability to deal with ambiguity supporting multiple projects from qualifying alternative raw material vendors, indirect services vendors, to complex capital infrastructure projects

· Track record of systematically identifying and creating strategies/business case/to deliver total cost of ownership savings

· Ability to lead, influence, and drive cross-functional teams demonstrating good time-management and organization skills

· Strong passion towards identifying near-term and long-term opportunities

· Ability to understand problem statements and communicate solutions

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills and a strong ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders

· Passion for both business and technology coupled with the desire to learn and constantly improve

· Exhibits integrity and does not compromise principles and/or core-values for an easier solution
