Procurement Supervisor

Manages procurement staff and the function of procuring, sourcing, and negotiating the buying of materials, equipment, and/or services

Supervises the acquisition of supplies, materials, and equipment from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need

Supervises assigned procurement staff, including non-exempt and exempt employees

Assures compliance of procurement actions with all applicable corporate and federal regulatory requirements, standards, and policies

May oversee audits as necessary to ensure compliance

May review solicitations to ensure comprehensive evaluation criteria are included where appropriate

Establishes, monitors, and evaluates supplier performance to assure compliance with obligations

Assures that status reports are provided to project managers and others as required

Maintains a current knowledge of laws, regulations, procedures, and policies governing procurement

Participates in special projects as required

SCOPE OF ROLE: Supervises a small team focused on one or a few disciplines. Low complexity. Direct reports are typically non-exempt

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years of experience ment, and/or services. Supervises non-exempt support staff.
