Duration: Full-time, permanent
Location: Ireland (remote/ hybrid)
Salary: €50k - €60k per year (DOE)
Procurement Transformation Assistant Manager
Life-sciences global giant are seeking an experienced procurement professional to focus on supporting the combined efforts of the Procurement team to improve efficiency and cost savings for the client.
You will have had experience with complex, end-to-end tender management with a particular focus on public procurement and contract management in a client-facing environment. Effective stakeholder engagement and strong communication and efficient data system management will be key to your success as the role will see you engaging with several internal and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Experience and knowledge of contract management and procurement processes within government.
- Contractor, Supplier and Consultant Management
- Be responsible for the procurement of construction and project development related contracts, including administration of tender procedures, collaboration with subject matter experts on scope development, preparation of contracts, programming, tender evaluation and preparing recommendations to management for approval.
- Undertake sophisticated contract negotiations
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders (both internal and external) to ensure compliance with procurement and policy obligations.
- Risk Management
- Support the improvement and development of commercial and procurement processes in the business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client personnel whilst delivering a high level of quality service
Requirements:
- Mature professional experience, ideally with at least 5 years relevant work experience
- Experience handling tender processes
- Track record of negotiating
- Experience in project management, contract management, procurement and consultancy
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to present and communicate sophisticated analytical data
- Critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- A commercial competence and ability to understand the business impact of procurement decisions
- Able to establish relationships and influence colleagues and external partners
- Able to work with a diverse team and multiple remote counterparties
- Ability to work independently and flexibly
- Pro-active, reliable, and positive demeanour
