Choice People are recruiting on behalf of our client for a New Product Development Manager. This position is for an established food manufacturing company in Dublin. You will drive innovation through understanding food trends, product design, development and commercialisation.

Position Title: New Product Development Manager

Role type: Full time – Permanent

Role & Responsibilities:

• Drive Ready Meal/Food Service innovation by a thorough understanding of food trends, product design, development, and commercialisation.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the food retailing market. Ensure the business is at the forefront of innovation and aware of new competitor launches and current food trends.
• Identification and development of commercially viable Food Solutions based on identified trends, robust recipes, processes, and commercial application.
• Develop strong & lasting relationships with customers by continual communications by way of updates and NPD plans.
• Use of market insights and technical/consumer literature to provide direction of research and development in innovative Food Product development.
• Project management of all concepts through the development process to be as per the brief, launch on time and to cost requirements.
• To be aware of and comply with customer brand standards and FSA standards.
• Excellent presentation skills to inform customers, the sales team and other relevant industry contacts.
• Working in close collaboration with the Sales, Marketing, Operation and Technical teams to develop integrated, innovative and market relevant solutions.

Key Experience and Skills needed:

• Experience in an NPD manager role with retail customer experience.
• Love of food and deep knowledge of food trends. Demonstrate an above standard knowledge & understanding of food.
• Great project & time management skills.
• Skills & experience of customer contact including presentations.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills at all levels.
• Creative individual with strong project management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: €55,000.00-€60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dublin, County Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

• Bachelor's (preferred)
